Round Table on Quality Education organised by FSASH in Tirana
The Trade Union Federation of Education and Science of Albania, FSASH, has been very active during the EI-ETUCE Unite for Quality Education campaign.

An important Round Table was organised in Tirana, in its conclusion, also on the framework of World Teachers’ Day, on the 3rd of October 2014.
Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Albania, Mrs. Nora Malaj, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Mrs. Genta Sula, high level representatives from both these ministries, as well as members of Parliament, heads of regional Educational Directorates, representatives from Kosovo education trade union, SBASHK, as well as from both Albanian education trade unions, FSASH and SPASH, and other educational institutions in Albania, took part in the Round Table.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of FSASH, Xhafer Dobrushi, who spoke about FSASH commitment for quality education in Albania and role of effective dialogue with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Welfare, as well as the main duties to be followed on the framework of EI ETUCE Campaign and post 2015 goals. Following FSASH Vice Chairman, Fatmir Bezati, held the Presentation on ETUCE 10 Messages and role of FSASH in providing quality education in Albania.
Deputy Minister of Education, Nora Malaj, spoke on behalf of the Minister of Education, mentioning the important role of FSASH in improving education system in Albania and the need for further effective collaboration with both education trade unions to realise the reform in education system in Albania.

Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Genta Sula, spoke on behalf of the respective Minister appreciating the role of education trade unions and need for a close collaboration with them especially regarding vocational education which is under the responsibility of this ministry.
Vice Chairman of FSASH, Mr Fatmir Bezati, held the Presentation on "The Vision and the Committment of Albanian Education Trade Unions on Quality Education in Albania", being focussed on ETUCE 10 Key Messages and role of Albanian Education Trade Unions in quality education in Albania.

Chairman of SPASH, Nevrus Kaptelli and Chairman of SBASHK Kosovo, Rahman Jashari spoke about their organisations' committment regarding Quality education and their activities on the occasion of World Teachers' Day.
High level officials from both ministries, as well as local leadres of FSASH and SPASH, and representatives from other educational institutions took the floor and spoke about their committment to provide quality education in Albania.

A concrete working plan was approved, after discussions from many participants, on behalf of their respective institutions.
All participants approved also the Declaration, which was sent to the UN Secretary General, on behalf of Albanian teachers and other education employees, on the occasion of World Teachers' Day:
"Albanian education Trade Unions, FSASH and SPASH, on behalf of more than 40 thousand teachers and other education employees, support Quality Education For All, a post-2015 Development Goal for education and the global campaign to get all children into school."
